Honey Nut Matzo Crumble Topping
I love this atop yogurt, poached fruit, ice cream, mousse, or even a vegetable kugel. It has great crunch, texture and flavor for Passover.

Serves: 3-4 cups

  • 1 ½ cups matzo farfel
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅓ cup canola oil
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, mix farfel, walnuts, almonds, cinnamon, cloves and salt. In a small bowl, whisk oil, honey and vanilla. Drizzle honey mixture over the farfel mixture and stir until well coated.
  2. Spread crumble on baking sheet in an even layer. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the crumble is golden brown. Cool for 1 hour.
