Giveaway: Perfect for Pesach, by Naomi Nachman

Perfect for Pesach, by my friend Naomi Nachman, the Aussie Gourmet, is on shelves today, just in time to make your Passover a bit more delicious and super simple. Naomi’s fun personality and creative ideas fill every page and recipe. Perfect for Passover features over 125 recipes with beautiful accompanying photographs (by photographer and friend Miriam Pascal, of fame and author of Something Sweet).

Naomi is no newcomer to the kosher cooking world. She has been cooking and catering for years, running awesome “Chopped” parties, and sharing her delicious Passover recipes and year round repertoire as the host of Table for Two on the Nachum Segal network. She connects to her audience and everyone is her friend! This book shares her experience and understanding of how to make Passover delicious, easy and interesting.

A few of my faves in the book, Quinoa “Hummus” (sneak peak recipe below), Shepard’s Pie Potato Skins (creative and filling!), Zucchini and Mushroom Soup (a great staple), Maple Glazed Rack of Ribs (sooo easy, freeze well), and the Quinoa Granola Parfait. I can’t wait to try more, see more sneak peak recipes below, Cauliflower Crust Lachmagine and Fudgy Chocolate Bundt Cake with Coffee Glaze .

Every recipe uses familiar ingredients and easy to follow instructions. And Perfect for Passover includes tips like freezing options, prep ahead, how-to, and basic needs for a high functioning Passover kitchen.

Thank you Naomi and Artscroll for sharing with one lucky winner from GKC with a cookbook. Can’t wait? Perfect for Passover is on sale today from Artscroll, Amazon, or at your local bookstore. Join me in wishing Naomi tremendous success on her amazing debut cookbook!

Giveaway: Gluten- Free Passover Panko

Great Passover Product Alert! Gluten- Free Passover Panko

Gluten-Free Passover Panko in 3 Flavors, Plain, Cajun, and Seasoned created by Jeff Nathan, award-winning celebrity chef and restaurateur (chef and owner of Abigael’s in NYC) is now available and it’s a great product, especially for Passover.

Jeff Nathan, created this great tasting, crispy, and crunchy Passover panko and I use it all-year long. It looks-like and tastes-like chometz. Gluten-free, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives, kosher for Passover, and imported from Israel. This product will change your Passover cooking.

My favorite uses for Jeff Nathan Creations Panko are…

  • Best crumbs and coating for schnitzel, all flavors
  • Homemade gremolata, toast panko in a pan with a little olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, kosher salt and pepper and then serve atop roasted vegetables, veal stew, or a seasoned crumb as a garnish on any soup, salad, or roasted vegetable
  • Sprinkle on top of broccoli or cauliflower, drizzle with oil and roast, to make “breaded” and roasted vegetables
  • Baked crispy chicken. Coat chicken pieces with egg and a little mayonnaise. Dip in panko, and sprinkle with additional spices, like salt, pepper, paprika, onion and garlic powder. Drizzle honey and olive oil and bake at 375 for 1 hour 10 minutes.
  • Add it to pasta (during the year) or quinoa for added texture and flavor on grainy type dishes
  • In place of ground nuts or Passover crumbs, on fish for a crispy, delicious coating. The Cajun are my favorite for fish!
