Brutto Ma Buoni – Hazelnut Cookies
My friend Minda does it again with her Italian flair. She is Jewish but for sure has some Italian somewhere in her bloodline because to hear her speak Italian, or play the piano, or cook pasta or make cookies, is very convincing. We love to share recipes and family stories. Thanks for this Passover addition!
Fresh Fruit Pie
This recipe is courtesy of Paula Shoyer and it appears in her latest book, The Kosher Holiday Baker. It has an especially great section on Passover desserts.
Cabbage Kugel
Here are kugel recipes that you will enjoy. The Cabbage Kugel can be frozen and defrosted in the refrigerator then warmed in a low oven.
Chocolate Meringue and Ice Cream Cake
Begin preparing this recipe at least a day ahead. This is a show stopper. The presentation is beautiful and the taste is wonderful. When I tested this recipe I used mint chocolate chip ice cream. Use whatever flavor you like or whatever is available for Passover. It can be made days ahead of time and is worth the effort.
Oven-Baked Beef and Quinoa Meatballs
A simple and healthier variation for beef meatballs.
Sweet and Savory Red Pepper Soup
I love this soup because it can be served cold, hot or room temperature. The pear gives it sweetness and the cayenne gives it a little spice. Use as much or as little as you like.
